officers. here's the latest. >> reporter: that are dozens of -- there are dozens of police officers still at the scene, and it could be that way for hours. the suspect is still at the scene. he died here after flipping the karr into a ravine. we know it started around 11:00 last night when a police officer tried to pull over an unrelated car. while talking with the first driver, he notices that the suspect comes from behind, engine just racing. he steps out of the way and does not get hit by the suspect. then the officer gets in his car and there's a short pursuit during the chase, speeds went up to 90 miles per hour. it wasn't until blossom hill road that the suspect lost

control of the car. the man is in his 20s, they are looking at a possible motive as to why he went after the police officer. a violent predator is on the loose in san francisco, and he is attacking women. these attacks have been happening in mission and noah valley neighborhoods. let's look at a sketch of the man. both times, the female victims were walking alone at night. the most recent happened at bartlet and 23rd. >> the neighborhood was supposed to have gotten safer over the last several years. noah valley has a reputation of being really safe. you think strollers and posh

to talk about. last week, we saw temperatures in the 70s and 80s. that's certainly not the case today. pretty overcast out there as the morning progresses. we'll see partly sunny conditions to mostly sunny conditions through the afternoon, but we'll see more cloud ins the sky ahead of a cold front bringing rain to the bay area. here's the temperatures right now 44 in vallejo. 40 out the door in oakland. temperatures today will be actually cooler than the seasonal average. 54 in downtown oakland and 56 in livermore. now, the satellite and radar picture really holds the key to the bigger story. this cold front is going to bring some rain to our area. this originated in the gulf of alaska. we are going to see an uptake

in the winds. cold temperatures over the next couple of days. you can see the rain by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow near the coastline and the north bay. we are under the green which indicates the light rain. it will pick up by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. moderate to heavy rain throughout the morning. 2:00 p.m., it will start to taper off. it looks like we are deal being the rain for downtown san jose. by 6:00 p.m. tomorrowing night, it looks like rain for antioch and concord. if you are heading up to tahoe, we have r advisory for the area. we could get some pretty decent snow out of this system. bring your chains if you are heading up to tahoe. unsettled weather for the rest
